From 1980s onwards people made mixed tapes for their loved ones and friends. These tapes contained mostly bits and pieces of sample love songs. Otherwise they were used for conveying angst. Also they provided a soundtrack, which will connect a particular group of people. One of the favorite brands used for making mixed tape is the audiotape manufactured by Maxell for recording.
Persons who could not express their feelings could use a mixed tape to express them in a better way, usually the younger generation. The song lyrics make it easier to speak right to their romantic interests and they could express their emotions in a more appropriate way. The mixed tape is an art form.
There were several reasons that Maxell became the preferred brand of audio cassette. Their jackets, the cards that you could use to write notes about the tape, folded out to offer much more space than jackets for competing brands. Also, Maxell provided extra jackets so that you could start anew if you made a mistake writing.
Maxell audio tapes were designed to be more convenient while taking up less space. Their thinner cases allowed anyone to store more tapes in less space, sometimes a very important factor. This also made the tapes easier to fit in pockets, or other places, and more simple to insert in a receiver.
Any audiotape should retain its sound quality over a period of time. It has been common for many mixed tapes manufactured with various brands to lose their sound quality in just a matter of months. Further, heat and light also can affect the music quality. One of the brands of tapes that have been time tested for sound quality has been Maxell brand audiotape.
However, several mixed tapes made on Maxell cassettes in the early 1980s still exist and work very well, though it’s becoming more difficult to find working cassette players. Perhaps, like record players, cassette players will make resurgence at the hands of those people who wish to replay the mixed tapes make for them. Also popular with mixed tape artists were TDK cassette tapes and Fuji audio tapes brands.
Mixed tapes contain an assembly of sample songs for giving loved ones or friends. From 1980 to date Maxell audio tapes are one of the favorite for recording. Teenagers or young adults instead of speaking directly to their crushes prefer to relay their emotions using mixed tape. Maxell brand became popular because of their jackets or cards to write notes or extra jacket. Maxell tapes are thinner which allows more tapes in a given storage and reputed for durability. Some other tapes lose sound quality within months. Maxell cassette tapes with music mixes made in the 1980s are still available. Other brands in the market are tdk cassette tapes and fuji audio tapes.
